FSS Due Diligence Webinar Series: Preventing and Mitigating Human Rights Risks
FSS Due Diligence Webinar Series: Preventing and mitigating human rights risk – a contribution to local social development
Our second online event on 17th January 2023 will focus on practical measures for preventing and mitigating adverse impacts on human rights as well as ensure compliance with upcoming due diligence regulations.
Many companies source agricultural commodities from politically and socially fragile regions which are often prone to human rights infringements like hunger. This means that human rights at production level might be at risk and within the framework of Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD), companies have the duty to ensure that preventive measures are in place and contribute to local social development.
The new obligations for companies from the German Supply Chain Act regarding preventive measures and remedial actions will be introduced by our legal consultants from GvW. Additionally, practical examples like capacity building approaches for local social development and the FOSSEM approach, a step-by-step approach to full Food Security Standard (FSS) certification will be introduced.
The event will be held in English. An online registration is required to participate in the event. You will receive the dial-in link after registration via mail.
